Samsung Omnia i900 phone. While the whole world is eagerly waiting for the Apple 3G IPhone, Samsung Electronics is on the way to beat it. Samsung is racing ahead to launch a new handset that has similar features to the Apple 3G Iphone. It is named “Samsung Omnia i900.”
The Omnia is supposed to roll out in two versions, 16GB and 8GB and the 16GB version is supposed to be priced at somewhere around $1,100 and will be available by the end of June 2008 in the stores across U.S and the world.
According to the specification released by the Samsung Electronics, the Omnia has a prominent large 3.2 inch touch screen. It has three buttons in the front. Has 16GB internal storage, 5-megapixel camera and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1. It can play wide video formats Divx, Xvid, WMV and Mp4. It also has FM, Bluetooth, and GPS.
There are certainly few limitations compared with the Iphone. One of them is the screen resolution, which is 240 X 400 pixels.
I am not buying 3G Iphone until I take a look at the Samsung Omnia. I want to have a balanced opinion on both of them before I go in for a kill.
